Elizabeth York, violin
Elizabeth York presents her third solo violin recital at the Baroque Room in as many years, paring works by Bach and Ysaye with contemporary composer Lera Auerbach. The pieces on this program link the present to the past, and motion to emotion.

Elizabeth York holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in violin and viola from Stony Brook University. She lives in St. Paul, MN where she is an active performer and teacher. She is the Associate Principal Second violin of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, performs on baroque violin with Lyra Baroque Orchestra, where she also serves on the board of directors, and violin faculty at College of St. Benedict/St. John's University.
