Seulgee Lee Nelson is active as a harpsichordist, pianist, and composer in the Midwest. As a versatile pianist and a vocal coach, Ms. Nelson coached University of Minnesota’s opera production, the youth opera production at the Interlochen Arts Center in Interlochen, Michigan, University of Minnesota Duluth’s opera production, Sieur Du Luth Opera Training Program in Duluth, MN, Lyric Opera of the North in Duluth, MN. Ms. Nelson recently performed on Classical Minnesota Public Radio with ‘A Little Tango In Her Blood’ for flute and piano with flutist Lauren McNee.
As a harpsichordist, Ms. Nelson has participated and performed in the Twin Cities Baroque Instrumental Workshop and festival, and recently performed Handel’s Messiah on harpsichord at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Minneapolis in 2017. Ms. Nelson has been studying harpsichord with Jacques Ogg from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and is especially active as a continuo player for early music ensemble in the Twin Cities.
She earned a B.A. in Composition and Music Theory from Dankook University in Seoul, South Korea, received her M.M. in Piano Performance as well as D.M.A in Collaborative Piano and Coaching at the University of Minnesota.
