Hear baroque violinist Kayo Saito play a program of virtuosic violin music. Visiting from Japan, she is joined by her colleagues and friends Tulio Rondón, baroque cello, and Tami Morse, harpsichord, in a program of music by Corelli, J. S. Bach, and LeClair.

Kayo Saito, born in Japan, started her musical career on the violin at the age of four and the piano at the age of eight. Because of her interest in the church music, she studied theology at Doshisha university in Kyoto and holds a Bachelor of Theology Degree. After her theology studies, she studied solo and ensemble playing at the Toho Orchestra Academy and received her diploma. Kayo decided then to specialize in baroque violin at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Kati Debretzeni, Ryo Terakado, E. Wallfisch and C. Mackintosh, where she received both a Bachelor and Masters Degree. She was selected to be principal violist in 12eme Academie Baroque Europienne d'Ambronay (dir. William Christie). Since then she has played as a member of Les Arts Florissants. Kayo was invited to perform in the festival of Bach en Combrailles with Lorenzo Feder (harpsichord) and the concert turned out to be a big success. Besides Les Arts Florissants, she is a leader and main player of several baroque ensembles such as Les Inventions, Apollo, Collegium Musicum Den Haag, Musica Poetica, and many others.
